Even when choosing No Management or when closing RMC down, the lowest VID is still the one set for the lowest FID in the Performance on demand profile, rather than the actual lowest default one for the processor. It never goes under 1.100 when the lowest is 0.700 and the start-up value is 0.900. RMC does great at keeping my laptop from overheating, but it also keeps it warmer than it has to be (and therefor the fan at a higher than lowest speed) when idling, which is quite annoying.

Can't i temporarily undo RMC's changes to these values? Setting them manually just crashes and turns the computer off, so that's not an option.

Which CPU? On my P8600 (Core 2 Duo) I have the lowest VID set to the SLFM voltage.
