xHalf Utility add half multiplier support to RMClock

Main screen - 361x279, 23,2Kb

RMClock only officially supports integer multipliers. With the release of the Penryn core on the Mobile platform, some models with half multipliers where introduced.

Some of them:
T9900
T9600
T9300
T9400
T8100
T6500
P7450
P7550
P7370
P8400
P8700
P9500
P9700
Q9000
Q9100
QX9300
SP9300
SP9600
Thanks to romanov's find we can now use RMClock and have all the performance of our half multiplier processor.

To simplify the overall process, I've made this small utility that will make all the necessary changes for you.

Just fire it up and select the main/max multiplier(FID) of your processor. Click apply and its done!

Start RMClock and now you have your half multiplier processor running at full speed.

There is two situations in wich this can happen:

  1. Something is blocking xHalf from changing the RMClock's registry keys. That can occur because of the limited privilegies of the account in wich you are logged on.

  2. Have you ran the RMClock Utility first? Coz xHalf need RMClock already in the system. Cannot modify something that it's not there.

Due to the situation I bet that is the second.

After you run xHalf, restart RMClock so that the new settings can take effect.

If the problem persists let me know so I can take a deeper look into it.

Sorry for any hassle, I've released xHalf in other forum some while ago and you are the first to encounter this problem.
