hey everyone,

some time ago I already had this problem but it resolved somehow. Now it is back again and I dont know what to do, so this is my first try here to solve it with your help hopefully.
This happens:
My cpu throttle drops down on each of both cores from 3.1 ghz to around 900 mhz every 3 to 7 minutes for 1 or 2 minutes. This happens always when the cpu is not in idle mode but not based on which programm I am using.

I already checked the BIOS settings because of cool n quiet which is disabled
I updated my motherboard (asus m4n78-am) and my os to win xp sp3 and latest updates.
I also checked and updated my gpu (pov geforce 260 gtx)

so now, I dont know what to do
I hope you guys know some advice
